Home pregnancy tests
WHAT: An at home pregnancy test determines if you are pregnant by detecting hormone levels in your urine. Specifically, they measure for a hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin).
WHY: While a few home pregnancy tests may be sensitive enough to show a pregnancy on the first day of your missed period, most test kits are more accurate about a week after a missed period.
HOW: Home pregnancy tests are readily available for purchase at your neighborhood drugstore and on-line. Glow recommends the First Response™ Pregnancy Test Kit because they are the most accurate and because they have the only test to tell how long you’ve been pregnant.
